Sunday School
Sunday School plays a crucial role in the spiritual growth and education of children, who are the next generation of a thriving church.
Our Vision
To provide a structured environment for learning the Bible and Christian principles, fostering a deeper understanding of faith, to grow as disciples of Christ Jesus. Building on that vision of our founding Pastor, Pr Wesley Daniel, the Sunday School department is constituted. We are partnering with IPC, Eastern Region, North America.
Timing:
Every Sunday 9:30 to 10:30
Place:
Each class meet in the assigned room after the combined beginning prayer/worship.
Here are some highlights about our Sunday School:
Christian Education: India Pentecostal Church Sunday School offers a comprehensive theological education through curriculums like IPC Kerala State and Radiant Life syllabus. These curriculums provide Bible-based learning content, helping students grow into committed disciples of Christ.
Curriculum Flexibility: Even though we are affiliated to IPC Eastern Region, our Sunday school have the autonomy of deciding on the curriculum, combine different curriculums to provide a well-rounded Christian education. In some classes, teachers can decide to teach both IPC and Radiant Life curriculums side-by-side, alternating lessons each week.
New IPC ER Curriculum: In the year 2024, God gave us the grace and privilege to publish a special curriculum by the "Our Christian Identity" completely made by our Eastern Region Directory Board. This is designed to be taught in all classes starting from grade 7, discussing contemporary issues facing by our young generation living in USA. Above mentioned curriculum is available to download as authorized by the teachers.
Teachers: We are blessed with Godly, Holy Spirit filled and committed teachers, who are voluntarily working along with their professions.
Grade-Level Adaptation: The decision to mix and match curriculums at different grade levels ensures that the education is tailored to the needs of different age groups.
Examinations and Prizes: Annual exams based on the syllabuses of each curriculum help assess students understanding. Grade-level prizes are awarded separately for each curriculum, encouraging students to excel in their studies. We have regional examinations and local exams. Students are expected to participate in both exams, which will be held separately. Registration for exams will be notified in advance, and the exams will be multiple-choice based, covering the syllabus and memory verses. Grade- level prizes will be awarded separately for each curriculum, with the year-end exam results announced at the annual Region Sunday school anniversary.
Resource Availability: Grade-level textbooks for the IPC curriculum are available for download, while Radiant Life textbooks need to be ordered directly from the publisher. This ensures that students have access to the necessary learning materials.
Empower meetings: Sunday School students meet bi-weekly on pre-scheduled time, at the church for more practical sessions related to the teaching pathways.
Sunday School is essential for nurturing the faith of church members, providing them with the knowledge and tools to live out their beliefs in their daily lives. Both the IPC and Radiant Life curriculums offer excellent Bible-based learning content. Combining both curriculums provides students with a comprehensive theological education, helping them grow into committed disciples of Christ. The IPC curriculum consists of 20 lessons, typically taught over 20-25 weeks, with the remaining time available for the new Eastern Region curriculum and/or Radiant Life.
Grade-level textbooks for the IPC curriculum are available for download and actual copies (books), while Radiant Life textbooks need to be ordered directly from the publisher by the local Sunday school
